Each holiday is of two weeks duration with a group normally consisting of twelve children, each of whom is accompanied by a carer. In addition there is an experienced group leader, a qualified Doctor, a physiotherapist and a senior nurse.
Only hotels, that have been visited and vetted by the N.H.F.'s representatives, are used. All the transport needs for the children of each group are arranged before the holiday.
The children will have the opportunity to enjoy a number of the Orlando theme parks. In addition they will visit locations and events that have been specially organized by the Charity's USA sister organization.
These may include:-
- A trip to Mount Dora on pontoon boats across Lake Dora
- A day at the beach at historic Fort DeSoto
- Visits to Gatorland; Seaworld; Kennedy Space Center; Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom; Epcot; MGM Studio's; Animal Kingdom; Universal Studio's and a Honda motor cycles experience.
Parents, guardians and carers of the children have an opportunity to take a much needed respite, knowing their charges are having the best of care and continuity of medical attention while they are away from home. It also provides an opportunity to give extra or undivided attention to others in the family.
All of the groups are fully insured with the children being individually assessed.
